On Friday, February 3, 2023, the MK-8 Parent Organization, VIPs, are sponsoring a Valentine Dance for our middle school students, grades 5-8. The dance is open to current MK-8 students only. The cost for attendance is $5 and will be taken at the door. The dance will begin at 6 p.m. and end at 8 p.m. in the MK-8 school cafetorium. The cafetorium doors will open at 5:45 to allow for student eligibility verification. Any student who has received 2 or more office referrals or a STA (Short-term Placement) at JAS during this semester which began on Thursday, January 5, 2023, is not eligible to attend this activity.
Upon entering the dance, no student will be allowed to leave without being picked by an adult. Students may dress in age appropriate, non-revealing formal attire OR school and age appropriate casual attire for this event. Students inappropriately dressed will not be allowed to attend. Administration, Teachers, and VIP members as well as our SRD will chaperone this event. Safety for our students, your children, is our priority. Please understand, that this is the VIPs and schools way of allowing our students to enjoy time together in a safe and comfortable environment as we begin our academic push towards our academic testing season. We also want them to know how excited we are to have them attend MK8 and how much they are appreciated.
